Q:My girlfriend is a US citizen but she has lived in Australia for over 4 years and will be working in Australia for at least the next two years. We are spending 3 weeks in the USA in September. We have return flights booked to Australia. We need travel insurance for her and I am interested in the Diplomat America Plan for her. Under the plan it says "Temporarily visiting U.S. citizen is eligible". Which is great. But then I click on the "Certificate Wording" link and it says that the plan is only eligible for people returning to their home country where home country is defined as, among other things, a place they hold a passport. She does not hold a passport for Australia. Could you please follow this up? Thanks so much and let me know if she is eligible.

The Diplomat America plan is available to a U.S. citizen that is visiting the United States. There is also a plan available called Patriot America Plus that is available. I understand I can print the visa letter after purchasing an insurance, and I hope their visas will be approved with the letter. However, if the French embassy says the "original" letter(with the original signature) is needed, could you mail it to me?
