Q:I would like to buy the health insurance policy for my visit to Philadelphia starting from September. I am from Poland, but I am currently doing my PhD in the UK. I will be visiting the USA under the J-1 visa and I need health insurance that covers the following: - Medical benefits of at least $250,000 per accident or illness - Repatriation of remains in the amount of $25,000 - Expenses associated with the medical evacuation of the exchange visitor to his or her home country in the amount of $100,000 - A deductible not to exceed $500 per accident or illness. Would you be able to advise me what plan would be the most suitable one? What are the full costs? Also, I already have a travel and health insurance issued by my UK University that covers the first two bullet points above. Would it be possible to buy only an additional coverage or I have to apply for a new insurance plan?
