Q:Patriot America insurance for new immigrants I am emigrating to the US at the end of July on a K1 visa. I am wanting to buy medical insurance so that I am covered immediately upon my arrival. However, for all the insurance packages that are brought up under the 'new immigrants' classifcation (eg, Patriot America) it is required that I enter the date I am to return home. However, as I am emigrating, then I will not be returning home. Can you please advise me which insurance packages will be appropriate for me and my situation. Many thanks.

A:
In that field, just put the date when you would like to end the insurance for now. You can buy it online at /new-immigrant-insurance/

Q:New immigrants health insurance In about 2 years my wife and I want to move to Walton County Florida USA. At this moment we are citizens of the Netherlands in Europe so for us it will be immigration. Because of our age (64 and 65 at the time of immigration) the regular Health Care Insurance Companies will not accept us for a Family Health Insurance, so we are looking for other possibilities. After 5 years we are eligible for Medicare so we need a health insurance for 5 years. There is an Inbound Immigrant health insurance but we try to find a health insurance with better benefits. We have already contacted Insurance Services of America for information concerning their International Citizen Plan (good insurance with good benefits) but they told us that this insurance is not available to Non-US Citizens living in Florida. So, we try to find another insurance. Are there other Health Insurances with better benefits than the Inbound Immigrant insurance available in Florida for Non-US Citizens? We need it for a period of 5 years. Regards,

A:
Please look at the bridge plan. It provides much better coverage compared to Inbound Immigrant. /bridge-plan/health-insurance/ Thank you for answer. I have still some questions. First of all, is the Bridge Plan available in Florida? You also mention that the benefits of the Bridge Plan are better than the Inbound Immigrant insurance, but the plan maximum of the Bridge Plan is $ 250,000 and the maximum of the Inbound Immigrant is $ 100,000 per injury or sickness. The Bridge Plan maximum of $ 250,000, is that the maximum per period of 12 months or lifetime. If it is per lifetime than, I think, it is probably not enough. Also the deductible, the deductible of Bridge Plan starts with $ 1,000 and the deductible of the Inbound Immigrant is only $ 75 or $ 150. The Inbound Immigrant is also cheaper. For people of our age (64 and 65), a maximum of $ 250,000 lifetime (5 years) is maybe not enough, a maximum of $ 100,000 per injury or sickness is probably better. But I do not know much about American Health Insurances so in what way are the benefits of the Bridge Plan better than the Inbound Immigrant. Inbound Immigrant is a fixed coverage plan. For. e.g. if person involved in some accient insurance company will cover only $6,600 per surgery doesn't matter how much surgery will cost you. Here is the link for brochure, /international-major-medical/travel-insurance/ Bridge plan is a comprehensive coverage ins. Link for brochure, /bridge-plan/health-insurance/ You can purchase either plan. we provide all the insurance products available in the market. If you have any further questions, please let me know. Thank you for your answer Is it certain that the Bridge Plan is available in Florida and the maximum of $ 250.000, is this the maximum per 12 month period or is it a lifetime maximum. Bridge Plan only covers plan A and B but Medicare also has plan D and C. Is there a possibillity that plan D is also covered by the Bridge Plan? I also want to have coverage of office visit and coverage of prescribed drug. Is this also possible? 1. Yes, bridge plan is available in Florida. 2. Policy maximum is life time. 3. Medicare part C and D are not available. It will cover office visits but not prescription drugs. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Q:Insurance for missionary network I'm interested in your Global Medical Insurance plans for a missionary network I'm developing. I understand you have an employee group plan, but none of these professionals are technically working FOR us as much as WITH us. Do you offer any group rates for independant workers? Thanks for your help,

A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing medical insurance plans. 1. Global Medical Insurance is an individual insurance. However, if you have multiple persons (or families) to be insured and if you have a single payer, we have a list bill system where you just make one payment every month and you can add or delete the insureds appropriately. It is not truly a group plan, but provides a lot of conveniences that come with the group. You can look at GMI at /global-medical-insurance/ 2. Our Mission Plus+ group plan designed for mission sending organizations and their missionaries will require that the missionary is working full time on behalf of the organization. Mission Plus+ does recognize "Associated Representatives" as eligible for the plan and an Associated Representative is defined as: An individual who is not an employee (W-2 recipient) and who is officially affiliated with the Participating Organization whose principal endeavors are to represent, work with, or work for the organization and intending to serve for a minimum of 6 consecutive months. It appears that our definition of Associated Representative may be satisfied based on the comments below but there is something else to keep in mind. Eligibility requires that a minimum of 80% of the eligible Associated Representatives enroll and maintain coverage under an organization's group plan. It has been my experience that achieving this minimum requirement is sometimes difficult in situations where there is no strict employer-employee relationship and the insurance isn't being provided by the organization. That said, we are willing and do provide group insurance in these situations. You can look at the MP+ group plan brochure and find request for proposal form at /missionary-health-insurance/ Please feel free to contact us at any time if you have any other questions.

Our scenario: - My husband is 36, Italian, Lawyer - I am 28, Brazilian and PR - For business purposes, we are going to be in US for 6 months, then one month in Brazil, then 6 months in US again, then 1 month in Italy and so on - We are planning to have kids for the next year, maybe or not in US 1) Could you please, indicate to us the best choice? 2) We are also concerned to have good hospital and doctors for the maternity. A:
There is no plan that immediately covers pregnancy, at least a wait of one year after the effective date of the policy. If you are still interested, please look at /expatriate-health-insurance/
