Q:I want to know about dental and vision insurance. I am on J1 visa and my dependents are on J2 visa.

A:
We would be glad to advise. We do not offer dental or vision insurance. We do however, offer a dental and vision discount plan. I have attached the plan link below for you to review the plan and information about the benefits it offers: Careington Discount Plan There is a $20.00 one-time non-refundable set up fee, and the plan is $11.95 a month. Therefore, the first month would be $39.95, and then $11.95 each month after. If you have additional questions, please let us know.

Q:I am French and I arrived in the USA a months ago. I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (not a student I am a scholar and I have a J1 visa). I am planed to stay a year in the USA for now. I am looking for an health insurance in the US (for now I have taken a French insurance). The university gave me a list of health insurance where you were appearing. I am a little lost in your web site and it sounded easier to contact you by email and ask you which plan can you proposed me knowing that I have some requirements (given by the university): - Maximum coverage for medical benefits cannot be less than $ 100,000 per accident or illness - my insurance should provide at least $25,000 to send my remains home (France) if I die. - If i have a serious illness or injury, I must be send home on the advise of a doctor, and my insurance must pay up to $50,000 for the expense of my travel - the deductible cannot be more than $500 per accident or illness. - my insurance must pay at least 75% or covered medical expenses - the policy may establish a waiting period before it covers pre-existing conditions (health problems you had before you bought the insurance), as long as the waiting period is reasonable by current standards in the insurance industry. - The policy must be backed by the full faith and credit of your home country government or the company providing the insurance must meet minimum rating requirements established by the state department

Q:My husband is an American citizen and we married in June. We just realized that I am pregnant and I need to be under control of a doctor but doctors will not accept patients without insurance, so is it possible in your insurance to start for me immediately?

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. There is not a plan that we can offer you to cover your pregnancy. You will have to enroll into a domestic plan if available or pay out of pocket for these expenses.

Q:After getting insurance, the Washington University will provide me DS2019 form and then after I will apply for the Visa. As of now I do not have any Visa. In the form, I have to check the box which means I should have the Visa at that time. Can you suggest me another plan which do not require Visa before buying insurance.

A:
Thanks for your reply. After reviewing your school's requirements there are no other plan options we can recommend that do not require you to select this or have a similar confirmation during the application process. As state below, we have many clients that were in similar situations. You are able to purchase this plan, and present this as proof of coverage for your visa application. As long as you are awarded the visa the plan will begin covering you from the effective date.
