Q:Visitor Insurance for my mother Hi, I am planning to buy visitor insurance for my mother , who is going to stay in California for 6 months ( Feb 9, 2016 - Aug 4, 2016). She doesn't have any pre existing medical conditions (illness), except Rheumatic arthritis. She is 58 yrs old. Could you pls suggest a best insurance with low price? Thanks,

A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing insurance through us. As a broker we provide insurance from many companies. But all the insurance plan pays for any new sickness, injuries or accidents that may occur after the effective date of the policy. It does not cover any pre-existing conditions and preventive care. However we have some plan covers acute onset of pre-existing conditions. But as per my understanding person who has arthritis probability is very less to have some life threatening emergency because of arthritis. More information on acute onset of pre-existing conditions. /visitor-insurance-acute-onset-of-pre-existing-conditions/ Are you looking for the best plan in terms of cost or in terms of coverage? You can visit our website at www.insubuy.com Please enter appropriate criteria. Policy max. select $50k- $65K. You will find many plans like fixed coverage and comprehensive coverage plan. Fixed plans cost less and provide limited coverage while comprehensive plan cost more and it’s very similar to our domestic short term plan. You can select 2 plans from each category and compare them side by side. If you have any further questions feel free to contact us.

Q:Insurance for US citizen visiting USA Hello, I am a U.S. Citizen who has been living and working abroad for the past 13 years. I plan on going to the United States for a vacation for 2.5 weeks from January 9th until the 28th, and I'm looking for travel insurance to the U.S. I am a U.S. Citizen only. I do not have dual citizenship. I have health insurance in South Korea, which is the country I'm working in. Please let me know if I qualify for any of your plans. I think I qualify for "Liason International," which is the plan I want to buy, but I wanted to double check with you. I do not have any major health conditions, and I won't do any sports when I'm there. My main concern is if I get hit by a car, get mugged or something along those lines. Thanks,

Q:Comprehensive visitor coverage with pre-existing conditions Hi, I would like to invite my parents for 5 months to US. My dad is diagnosed with early stage cancer a year ago and he is undergoing treatment in India. The doctor in India has cleared him for travel and we don't expect any tests or treatment for this condition in US. Is there a comprehensive visitor insurance that we could buy that would cover unanticipated medical emergency which may/may not be related to cancer ?

Once we get these information will be glad to suggest some insurance plan accordingly. Have a great day! My father's age is 62 and mother's age is 60. Tentative travel dates are : May 1, 2016 to Oct 15, 2016. They will be visiting California. I will email quotes separately for comprehensive plans. Q:Seeking insurance for Indonesia (and possibly USA and Canada) for 4-5 months Hello, I am 39 years old, I'm a US/Italy citizen, with main residency in Hawaii, no American medical insurance during my trip, and no pre-existing condition. I will be in Indonesia for 4-5 months starting on January 25, 2016, but I may have to return in the US and possibly Canada for a couple of weeks in March. 1) Will the Atlas Travel ($50,000 coverage amount, $500 deductible) cover me in Indonesia, Canada, and the US? 2) Will it cover me for something happening during diving? 3) Can the “The Trustees of Indiana University be named as additional insured (so that IU has the option to help manage the situation as a named entity on the insurance contract)? I'll be working as a consultant and the university asks me to do this. 4) Do you have any other recommendation for insurance that covers for medical evacuation/repatriation of remains? Thank you!

A:
Hello, Thank you for your interest in purchasing insurance through us. The Atlas Travel plan would not cover you in the US since you are a US citizen. The plan will cover you outside of your country of citizenship and home country. Yes, it would cover you during driving secondary to any auto insurance. The Trustee of Indiana University can be listed as a beneficiary but not insured. You would have to have a separate agreement to allow them that responsibility. Most of the plans include coverage for repatriation and medical evacuation.
