Q:Hello, we're making the move to Ontario and OHIP recommends private health/travel insurance for its 3-month wait period OHIP requires of new residents. My daughter (3 years old) and my son (1 year old) both require health insurance. They will be new residents of Ontario. Because they are so young, they will need to visit the doctor regularly for their government-required vaccines before they go to school/preschool. Would these well-baby/well-child visits and vaccines be covered by any of your insurance plans? And which plan might that be if so? Q:Thank you for your response. I know what physicians and hospitals covered under my zip code. My question was specifically for urgent/emergency care and not regular hospital visits. If none of your plans cover this in my locality, the plans are not useful to us. I also know that some plans cover acute onset of pre-ex (and that is what I am planning to buy). But the question here is - if my parents are in a network like First Health PPO (or any other network) under a comprehensive plan, where can we go in case of an emergency? Please help me understand this specific detail. We will only buy a plan that will have emergency or urgent care coverage in our locality. My dad's age is 75. He is arriving on Dec 17.. I am planning to go for a $200K cover for him.
