Q:Hi, I need to know if you have a plan for a J-1 visa student born September the 10th, 1984, that will be studding in the US from now until December the 22th. It must cover the following criteria: Must be provided by a company licensed to do business in the United States, with a U.S. claims payment office and a U.S. telephone number. Must be currently active and you must promise to maintain it during the entire period you are registered for the current academic school term. Must provide an annual minimum of $100,000 in coverage for each accident or illness you may suffer each policy year. Must include coverage for prescriptions (medications prescribed by a physician). Must cover pre-existing conditions (illnesses or medical conditions that began before the effective date of the insurance coverage) with no waiting period (or the plan must have been in effect long enough that any waiting period has already passed). Must cover in-patient and out-patient medical and mental health care in the Washington, D.C. area, including Alcohol, Drug Abuse and Detoxification Treatment. Please note that emergency-only coverage does not satisfy this requirement. Must cover expenses related to self-inflicted injuries and suicide. Must have a maximum deductible of $500-International Students or $1,500-Domestic Students. Must provide at least $10,000 for medical evacuation. Medical evacuation is transportation to your home country so that you can receive medical care there. Must provide at least $7,500 for repatriation of remains. Repatriation provides transportation to your home country in the event of your death. If you do have such an insurance plan, please let me know the details.

Q:Hi, I am looking for visitor insurance for my sister who is traveling to US along with my family. My sister is intellectually disabled and has a condition of seizures. Her last episode of seizures was 5 years ago. Apart from this she does not have any other health issues. I am looking for an insurance plan that covers her needs. We plan to get the regular medicine she needs from India so she does not need a plan for that. Please recommend the best insurance plan.

A:
The plans we would recommend would be the Atlas America or the Patriot America Plus. Please see the links for more information including the instant purchase button. If you need additional assistance please feel free to contact our office. Plans will cover the new accidents an new illness that occur after the effective date of the policy. The following plans will also offer coverage for an acute onset of a pre-existing condition. You can find more information about the acute onset using the link listed below. Acute Onset of Pre-existing Condition FAQ You can see all of the available plans on our website by entering the required information and clicking on search & compare.
