Q:GMI Silver questions 1. I bought GMI Silver from you. I want to get more explanation of outpatient benefit. It is stated USD 70 per visit, max 25 visit. Is it subject to deductible, as my deductible is USD 1000, does it mean the outpatient benefit is useless? 2. Is it possible to add more member to a family? My husband may want to join under the same policy.

A:
1. Yes, it is subject to deductible. However, deductible is annual (once a year). Therefore, outpatient benefit is still useful. 2. You can't really add the family members (there is no advantage in doing that.) You can buy a new one at /expatriate-health-insurance/ Say, someone goes to doctor (outpatient) 20 times during the year, total per visit is USD 60. Does it mean he can claim the USD 1200 less USD 1000 deductible? Does he need to submit the bill everytime he visits the doctor (even it is only USD 60), or can he accumulates and once it is over USD 1000, submit all documents at once to the insurer? Does the limit including medical prescribed by the doctor? It is really confusing. I need to understand before buying one for myself. Thank you. In that case, the person would get $200 ($1200-$1000). You should submit the bills as and when you use the insurance. Prescription drugs coverage is separate. Please let me know if you have any other questions. No. you did not answer my question. Do I need to declare to the insurance company everytime I go to visit doctor, although the bill is only USD60, and it is not going to be reimbursed by the insurance company? IF not, how can the insurance company know that my accmulated bill has reached above the deductible limit? Or I keep the bill myself, and then when the limit has reached over USD 1000, I send all the bills in one package to the insurance company to get reimbursed for the balance? You should submit the bills as and when you incurr the expenses. That is the only way insurance company would know how much you have spent and count it towards the deductible.

Q:Health insurance queries - pre-existing conditions Dear Sir/ Madam: My in-laws are visiting me for 5-mos starting next week. I'm planning to buy the Patriot or Atlas plan from your website. My father-in-law is 62 yrs old and mother-in-law is 57 yrs old. They are in good health. They underwent lots of tests and thorough checkups before buying their tickets and everything is normal. No BP, no diabetes nothing. The only thing that comes to my mind is that few months ago my father-in-law had pulled up a hamstring while visiting a temple. He was treated for it and is pain free. Now for some reason if his pain flares up while in USA, will it be treated as a preexisting condition or as an emergency? If the doctors find the pain has nothing to do with the hamstring pull but something else, how does the insurance treat this scenario? If the doctors find that the pain is due to something that was not diagnosed earlier, does insurance cover it? I hope you get my questions. Please advice. Thanks

A:
Recurrence of a pre-existing condition is considered as pre-existing condition and not covered, even if emergency. Please read /visitor-medical-insurance-pre-existing-conditions/ for more information. As long as the treatment records in the US indicate that the condition was not related to pre-existing condition, it would be covered. You can purchase Patriot America online at /patriot-america-lite-insurance/ Please feel free to contact us at any time if you have any other questions.

Q:J1/J2 insurance for myself and my daughter Dear Mr. or Mrs, I want to buy an insurance plan for myself and my daughter on your website. I am a J1 visitor of the UW, for 1 year. the problem is, my daughter will arrive in the US. two monthes later after I arrive first. So, i am comfused, how shall I buy our plans? Shall I buy a 2 monthes for myself first and then buy a new one for my daughter and I ? I wish you can help me. Thank you very very much! P.S: The plan i am interested in is the Visitors Care or the Inbound USA. with my great thanks,

A:
In that case, You have to apply for your daughter once she comes to USA. For you, You can purchase right now. Inbound USA meets the requirements NOT Visitors Care. Here is the link to purchase this insurance online, /safe-travels-elite-insurance/ If you have any questions, please let me know. Sorry, is it possible for me to buy inbound USA for myself for onlly 2 monthes and then change to ATLAS America for my daughter and me for 10 monthes? Thank you very much! You can not purchase Atlas America if you are on J1 visa. That plan does not meets the J1 visa requirements. I feel very very sorry for bothering again. can i ask for why Atlas America does not meet the J1 Visa requirements? I found on ***** which said it does? I am a J1 visiting scholar for 1 year. I prefer this plan because it is a family friend one. Again, thank you very very much!! I can't really comment on the knowledge, expertise of other agents or accuracy of their web sites. We are the largest international health insurance broker in the USA and have been in business for a long time. But I know for sure that Atlas America does NOT meet the J1 visa requirements. The reason: J1 visa regulations require that you get minimum $50,000 per every injury/sickness. However, the policy maximum in Atlas America is life time maximum and not per injury/illness. Please look at the plans at /j1-visa-health-insurance/ that meet all J-1 visa requirements. Visit USA among them is the most popular one. You can also look at the J1 visa requirements at /exchange-visitor-insurance/ Please feel free to contact us at any time if you have any other questions. Thank you so much for professional explainations! I will buy the Inbound USA plan then. Can I add my Child in my plan after I bought it 2 monthes later? I am so appreciated for your helps. Again, thanks so much! Unfortunately, you can't add the child later. You will have to either buy a separate policy for the child or buy a new policy for all of you. You can buy Inbound USA at /j1-visa-health-insurance/

Q:insurance for covering my mother's cancer I would like to buy health insurance for my mother who is suffering from cancer. She is in the final stages of her life and her cancer is very advanced. - She will shortly be immigrating to America with her green card. - My mother is almost 70 years old. - I am a surgeon myself (spine surgery) and I could open a practice in any state in America that will sell my mother health insurance. So if you suggest a state where it would be best to relocate in view of my mother's cancer, I could easily move to that state. Please let me know if you can sell any health insurance for my mother and the state that she would need to reside in, in order to be eligible for that insurance.

A:
Unfortunately, I am not aware of any plan from any company that would cover your mother's cancer. Please read /new-immigrants-medical-insurance-plans/ for more informationi.
