Q:I'll be visiting Norway for about one week in July, from the US. I'm 75 yrs old. I have Medicare and United Healthcare coverage in the US. I have no health/medical problems. Can I buy insurance to cover me should I need medical attention while I'm in Norway?

A:
Our Travel Outside the U.S. plans can cover someone when travleing abroad for new illnesses and new injuries. You can run quotes for those plans here: /travel-health-insurance/ Some of the plans will also include coverage for Covid-19 if contracted after the effective date. If you are also wanting Trip delay benefits incase you are required to quarantine when trying to depart Norway and return to the U.S., we would recommend the Safe Travels Outbound plan. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Q:I want to know what primary care provider means in https://www.firsthealthinternational.com/LocateProvider/LocateProviderSearchResult/ ?The hospitals listed in my vicinity, says it's not the primary care provider. What does it mean? Can you please clarify.

A:
Primary Care means a doctor who practices general medicine. It's stating Primary Care provider No because hospitals are medical facilities, not doctors. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Q:Is it necessary to have One wellness visit ? OIf the Provider charges for Wellness Visit who will pay these charges ?

A:
We have a few plans that will provide a Wellness visit within 21 days of the effective date of the policy. It is not required, only an option you would have. You would have to register for it first and then take your registration form with you to a Dr. The plans would then reimburse you up to that benefit amount. Anything over the benefit amount would be out of pocket. What a doctor charges for a Wellness visit would be determined by the specific provider/doctor office. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.
