If you need coverage from Aug 1st you have to enroll in school insurance. None of the outside insurance company can do backdated insurance.

Q:I went to the university health services to check regarding the waiving of insurances. They told me it would be allowed if the insurance plan is comparable and has all the requirements. They said the easiest way to do that would be for you to send me the plan details etc. I'd have to email it to the university and confirm with them just to be sure. If it's okay with them, we can go ahead and confirm the purchase and I'd have to waive off the university insurance. Q:Hi, I am an international student and am looking for a health insurance plan to meet my school's requirements but I don't understand what they are looking for so i'm wondering if you can give me a quote for these requirements: 1. Minimum Essential Coverage as required by the ACA with no annual or lifetime limits, 2. No exclusions for pre-existing conditions, 3. Preventive care and women's health care as required by the ACA covered at 100%, 4. An annual deductible not greater than $500 (excluding employer plans), 5. Coinsurance that does not exceed 25% of allowable charges under the plan, 6. Policy must include a list of the exclusions, 7. Policy coverage must begin on or before 8/8//2019 and must include the entire semester, 8. Policy must be in English and in US currency/dollars. 9. Proof of Repatriation expenses in the amount of no less than $25,000. 10.Proof of expenses associated with the medical evacuation of the insured to the insured's home country of no less than $50,000.
