Q:I am a professor at the Polytechnic University of Valencia in Spain. I am going to do a research stay as visiting scholar at UCLA. My government provides me with a health insurance that fulfills the requirements of UCLA for visiting scholars. Unfortunately my wife and my daughter are not covered by this insurance, so I need a health insurance for them. They both have a J2 visa. My wife is 39 years old and my daughter is 3 years old. Q:Traveler from Greece to USA and CANADA Dear Sir or Madam, I am considering the Patriot America Plus insurance plan for a trip to USA and CANADA. I would like to know: 1) If the plan equally covers insurance expenses in both countries. 2) If the plan covers health expenses in case of a car accident. Regards.

A:
1. Yes. 2. Yes. However, please note this plan would be secondary to any other insurance applicable such as liability of third party who caused the accident. If you have any other questions, please feel free to post them here or contact us at any time.

Q:I plan to invite my parents visiting USA in summer. They are both over 70. I'm thinking of buying separate policy for them. My mother is in good healthy conditions. My father has been in the treatment of cancer for more than one year. He's recovering from a latest surgery that removed one tumor. Doctors suggested no need for further chemo. If he's strong enough to come to the U.S. for 2 months' break, I would like to have an insurance to cover necessary medical checks (not treatments, just check to monitor the condition), and also coverage in case of emergency.

A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing insurance through us. We have many plans for visitors to the US that will cover any new illness or injury that occurs after the effective date of the policy. Unfortunately, there is no plan on the market that will cover his follow-ups for a pre-existing condition. There are no plans available to visitors over 70 for pre-existing conditions, preventative care or routine maintenance. If you would like a quote you can enter their information in our website and view all the available plans or we can email a quote to you. To generate the quote we would need their exact ages, the dates you will want coverage, as well as the state they will be visiting. You can also call our office to speak with one of our licensed insurance agents.
