A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. Insurance will pay for new sickness injuries or accidents that may occur after the effective date of the policy. It does not cover any pre-existing or preventive care. However some plan covers acute onset of pre-ex up to $25,000 for age 70+. More information on acute onset at /visitor-insurance-acute-onset-of-pre-existing-conditions/ The plan which covers acute onset of pre-ex for age 70+ is Safe Travels USA Comprehensive plan. Please find more information at /safe-travels-usa-comprehensive-insurance/ The plan will however cover cost medically necessary related to a new accident or new illness that occurs after the effective date of the policy. Q:Hello. Please elaborate on the eligibility terms for the IMG Global Medical Insurance: "This plan is available to individuals and families of all nationalities. U.S. citizens must plan to be residing outside U.S. on or before their effective date and renewal dates, for at least six (6) out of the next 12 month. Additional eligibility restrictions apply to non-U.S. citizens residing in the U.Ss. Additional eligibility restrictions apply to non-U.S. citizens residing in the U.S." 1. "Additional eligibility restrictions apply to non-U.S. citizens residing in the U.S". What restrictions? 2."Residing outside the US ....". The 6 out of 12 months stipulation refers to the total number of days per year or one consecutive time period? In other words can I be gone for e.g. 4 months, return to the US and then in the same year again for 3 months and still qualify? Case specific details should not matter here but if it helps please provide contract terms for German citizens. There is no specific circumstance to elaborate on as those are not known. This is a general inquiry.

A:
For the Global Medical Insurance plans you are required to reside outside of the United Sates 6 out of 12 months. If you are going to be state side more than 6 months in a year you will need to purchase a domestic insurance plan.
