I need an insurance who can cover during 1 or 2 months Birth control (labs exam, ultrasound) Visits to the doctor in case of emergency Thank you

A:
Unfortunately, there are no short term health insurance plans available for a visitor to the USA which will provide maternity coverage. There are plans available such as the Atlas America which will provide coverage for complications of pregnancy which occur during the first 26 weeks of the pregnancy. Please use the link to view the plan details. If you have any additional questions please let us know.

Q:I'm looking for any information that can help me with the process of moving. My family requires coverage for prescriptions and I'm wondering what your policies are for "pre-existing conditions".

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. We are a broker, and offer all of the major plans available on the market for someone visiting the U.S. or traveling internationally. Visitors Insurance plans are designed to cover only new illnesses, injuries or accidents which occur after the effective date of the policy. They will not cover routine doctors visits, preventative treatments, or pre-existing conditions.

Q: I'm a PhD student at the University of Cagliari (Italy). I will be soon in the University of California, Irvine (UCI) to work as Assistant Specialist for 12 months and I have already obtain the J-1 VISA. I would like to ask you something about the Atlas Exchange Insurance. I read the description of the coverage from your website and even if all the minimum Insurance requirements requested by UCI should be covered by this policy, I'm not totally sure about that related to pre-clinical conditions. Indeed, "Pre-existing conditions must be a covered benefit. The waiting period for benefit coverage cannot exceed 12 months. Please note: Policy's with coverage for only "Acute onset of pre-existing conditions" do not meet this requirement"; I think that both Atlas Exchange Insurance chose and essential cover this point, is it right?

A:
Both the Atlas Exchange Choice, and Essential plans will provide coverage for pre-existing conditions up to $500 after a waiting period. The Choice plan has a waiting period of 6 months, while the Essential plan has a waiting period of 12 months. Neither plan will provide coverage for an acute onset of preexisting conditions. If you have any additional questions please let us know.

Q:I am going to the US for a 1 year sabbatical at UMass Amherst. I am going with my wife and baby boy (8 months old) and need a health insurance that covers well baby care (pediatric routine appointment and standard immunization). Do you have a plan with such coverage? Country of citizenship Brazil. I will be going to the US under a J-1 visa and my wife and son under a J-2.

A:
Unfortunately, there are no plan options available which will provide coverage for a pediatric routine appointment or immunizations. The plans will primarily cover any new illness, injury or accident which occurs after the effective date of the policy. Some plans will also provide coverage for pre-existing conditions after a specified waiting period. If you have any additional questions please let us know.

Q: I need to buy my health Insurance accordingly with Georgia State University requirements. In order to be assertive, I'd like to make sure that all requirements from the list is going to be covered. I chose some features: Policy 250, Co in. 100/0 and ded. 250. I liked the plan ExchangeGuard Essential, (I didn't find -IN- out patient, mental and nervous disorder.) And I am not sure about all the rest. Ok the list is here: International Students Both accident and sickness coverage Minimum benefit $250,000 per policy year Health insurance coverage must be in effect for entire semester Deductible does not exceed $500 per accident or illness, per year In-patient and outpatient, mental and nervous disorder benefits Prescription drug coverage Pay benefits worldwide Medical evacuation to one's home country and family reunification of not less than $50,000 Provision for repatriation of remains of not less than $25,000

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. Unfortunately, the ExchangeGuard plan will not meet the requirements listed below since it does not provide coverage for in-patient and outpatient, mental and nervous disorders. We would recommend purchasing the Student Secure plan. Based on the information you have sent we would recommend reviewing either the Budget, Select, and Elite plan options.
