Q:My in-laws will be in New York State for 3 months and then in Ohio State for another 3 months. They come from China to travel in the US. How can I purchase the insurance for them? One time or purchase separately? The plan I am looking at is Atlas America. Thank you very much.

A:
You can purchase one plan for the whole duration since Atlas America will cover them everywhere outside of their home country so they will be covered in both states. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our office.

Q:I am a full-time missionary in Bulgaria. I have Bulgarian health insurance to cover me while I am in Bulgaria. I need short-term health insurance for my upcoming two month trip to the USA (Colorado). Can you advise me? I don't need major medical insurance, but only insurance to cover me in an emergency while in the USA.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. Just to confirm, what is your citizenship? If you are a US citizen then we would recommend the Patriot America Plus plan for your short visit to the US. If you need additional assistance please feel free to contact our office.

Q: I have a question about your Exchange Guard insurance plan. If I visit a clinic which is out of the PPO network, how does the insurance will work? Let's assume I purchase a $100,000 policy maximum for one year, I choose a 0 per period deductible and a co-insurance of 100%. If I visit a clinic out of the PPO network, the doctor charges $200 per visit.how much should I pay by myself? thanks for your help!

A:
If you go to an out of network provider there would not be network negotiated rates offered on those visits. The plan will pay at 100% to the policy maximum but only the URC would be paid at 100%.

Q:This policy... Patriot America Plus... seems quite expensive. Is there another plan that would work for my family? I have used the Atlas International plan before. Is that a good yet more affordable option? What are the main differences?

A:
The Atlas International plan is not an option as this plan is not an option for coverage within the United States. Atlas International covers outside of the United States. For U.S. citizens returning home they are only eligible for the Patriot America plans. So for your husband and children the Patriot plan would be the best option.

Q:Hi I have a question about your F-1 Insurance plan. I was wondering if your insurance for international students meet the new requirement for a waiver. Here are the criteria written by the University of Oregon. UO Student Health Benefits Plan Waiver Criteria: The plan must be a federally certified, US-based plan (or university approved plan), compliant with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), and provide coverage for all services included in the Oregon Benchmark Plan. Coverage must begin on or before the first day of the academic term in which the student is enrolled and extend through the entire term. The plan deductible must be $500 or less per accident/illness per year. The plan must include medical evacuation coverage of at least $50,000. The plan must include repatriation coverage of at least $25,000. The plan must have co-insurance of 20 percent or less.

A:
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs. Unfortunately, available plans will not be comparable since the plans offered are not ACA plans. Since what you have provided is not a waiver form we cannot say for sure that is what they require. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our office.
