Q:medical evacuation questions Greetings, My family lives and works overseas in Mongolia. We currently have no medevac insurance, and are interested in your program. I have a couple of questions. 1. Is there a time limit for coverage or can I renew yearly? (we may be here for several years at a time) 2. If an emergency did arise, does your organization actually arrange the medevac, or how would that work exactly? Thanks for your time.

A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing medical evacuation insurance. 1. You can renew it yearly. 2. Yes, the insurance company does arrange for medical evacuation. In coordination with local doctors and their discussion with the assistance company, they would decide the nearest facility where adequate care can be given and you would be evavacuated there. You can purchase the plans at /trip-cancellation-insurance/ Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Do you have any such plan which can cover in both countries. Customer family has US citizeship as they were there for 15 years, by birth they are Indian citizens. Please suggest you have any comprehensive plan to suit the requirement.

A:
It is possible to have the insurance plan that covers in USA, Canada and India. Please let me know where this family permanently lives. Do you want to buy the insurance for short term (how long) or long term on going basis (annually renewable)? If long term, how long will the US citizens be in US in a given year? Please let me know their ages as well. Once I get this information, I would be able to give you accurate adivce. They will be staying approximately 6 months in US & 6 months in India, not at a stretch, but on & Off. Annually renewable insurance is preferred, because any point of time one person of family will be in US. Ages are Male - 44 Female - 34 Male - 17 Male - 7 Whoever in the family should be covered by insurance, irrespective of where they are. Please look at various plans at /expatriate-health-insurance/ They provide worldwide coverage. Only restriction: US citizens can't be covered for more than 6 months in a year in US. Once you enter the details, you will be able to see various plans with its prices, and you can compare them side by side and make instant purchase of the one you like. I recommend particular Citizen Secure Insurance. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Q:moving to Cambodia, policy questions I was looking at Reside for insurance for myself and my husband when we move to Cambodia in 2 weeks time. I just don't understand what $250 deductable actually means, and how one gets refunded for paying doctor's fees etc. Also how does it work with prenotifying the company if we are in an emergency situation.

A:
Thank you for your interest in purchasing Reside insurance for your family. 1. $250 deductible - That is the amount that you will have to pay first, once a year, before insurance company starts paying anything at all. You will not get that $250 back. It is similar to the deductible in car insurance. 2. You get the health insurance card and claim form in the mail once you purchase the insurance. You can present the insurance card to the provider and if they are willing to bill directly, that is good. Otherwise, you can pay first and then fill the claim form along with the receipts and mail it to the insurance company's address provided in the claim form. You will get reimbursed in 2-4 weeks. 3. If you are an in emergency, you don't have to notify first before getting the treatment. You can notify the insurance company within 48 hours. However, you have non-emergency scheduled surgery or major treatment, you can notify the insurance company in advance. I hope that answers all your questions. You can make instant purchase online at /expatriate-health-insurance/ Please let us know if you have any other questions.
