When a business is PCI-compliant, it means that that the business reviews and follows the guidelines set forth by the credit card companies to help ensure your credit card information is protected and your personal information is secure.
I am looking to buy travel insurance for 2 visitors to the USA for about 6 months. They are both over 70 years of age. My specific concern is about pre-existing conditions coverage. Some of your plans indicate coverage for "acute onset of preexisting conditions" and others indicate "sudden and unexpected recurrence of preexisting condition". I went thru https://www.insubuy.com/sudden-and-unexpected-recurrence-of-pre-existing-conditions/ and https://www.insubuy.com/visitor-insurance-acute-onset-of-pre-existing-conditions/ I want to understand what that means in my specific context. Below are some of the details: They both are diabetic and hypertensive and take medications for these and cholesterol. One of them has had a bypass surgery while the other has had a hip surgery. From your webpage I do understand that there are no guarantees on the matter. So with these conditions what are examples of acute onset that may be covered and what may not be covered? Similarly for "sudden and unexpected recurrence". If the answer depends on the specific plan, please provide plan wise details. Lastly I read in many of the plans (e.g. Patriot Platinum Plans and Atlas plans) that if the condition is chronic (e.g. if you are taking medications for it on an ongoing basis) it is not considered preexisting/acute onset and hence not covered at all. Is that true? My concern is about emergencies arising out diabetes or hypertension in my case and not their regular medications. Are there any plans that cover?
In general, "sudden and unexpected recurrence of pre-existing conditions" is a smaller subset of "acute onset of pre-existing conditions". You would have coverage for more scenarios in acute onset of pre-existing conditions.
Therefore, I suggest that you purchase Atlas America as it provides the most amount of coverage for acute onset of pre-existing conditions for 70-79 years age group.
Here is a link for more information about the coverage for Chronic Conditions under the Acute onset benefit.
