I would like to know some more about the visitors coverage plan, that Atlas International offers for overseas travelers visiting U.S. Does the plan cover acute onset of pre-existing conditions for such travelers? Does the plan pay up to full coverage amount in above situations? Are there any upfront costs? Does the plan offer cashless hospitalization? Are there any other costs besides deductibles?
Atlas International will cover outside of the US. For coverage in the US you will purchase Atlas America. Atlas America does include the Acute Onset benefit for people age 69 and below. The Acute Onset is covered up to the chosen policy max. In most cases the upfront cost would be the deductible but it's up to the provider what amount is paid at the time of the visit. In most cases for hospitalization they will bill the insurance directly.
