I want to buy medical insurance for my parents (67, 66 years old) who are Indian citizens and traveling to Singapore for a month (Dec 18-Jan 16) Could you please help to clarify a few questions I have, so that I can buy the best suited plan for them by Monday, Dec 16. 1. I want a plan that covers pre-existing conditions and any hospitalization arising out of or in relation to the same. So any acute onset or life threatening medical situation. Cover to be policy max or at least 100,000 2. Policy cover of 300,000 - 500,000 and one time deductible of 250-300. 3. Any medical conditions that are excluded under the pre-existing list that we need to be aware of? My parents have well controlled conditions and both are on medication for cholesterol and diabetes. Please let me know the top three policies that are best suited for Singapore travel. Any other key differences or points to know about these policies to consider and make a decision at the earliest.
We would be glad to assist.
The appropriate plans that can cover your parents during their travel would be located through this link.
You can enter in their specific travel information, country of citizenship as well as their home country (where they have primary residence), and it will then show you all available plans.
Most plans do not cover pre-existing conditions, preventative care, or routine maintenance, however, some of these plans will offer Acute onset benefits for pre-existing conditions. I have provided the information link
here so that you can review the specifics of the acute onset benefit.
