Question:

Hello, I am trying to purchase short term travel health cover for myself, a U.S. Citizen temporarily staying in Australia, for my trip back to the USA and to Canada. I'm looking at the plan but I have some concerns over wording. I'm hoping you can clarify in writing the terms Residence Country home country and true, fixed and permanent residence. Can you please send me the legal definitions for each of the three terms as you use them, specifically how they would be defined and used in the event that claims need to be made ? I am not a Permanent Resident of Australia; I only have a temporary right to live and work in Australia. I need to ensure I'm purchasing health cover that applies to myself while I am in Canada and the U.S., my country of citizenship and permanent residence. In case the information on your end is needed, I am 26 and will be traveling from 13th of September through the 18th of October (USA and Canada).

Answer:

You can see the certificate wording of the application plans in our visitors insurance section.
