Question:

My son was born in the USA but has been a UK resident for the past 34 years(most of his life, as he is now 37). He will be making a long visit of three or four months to family friends later this month, and we want to check he would be eligible for one of your policies to cover him for health and emergency dental while out of this country. I can confirm he is a UK citizen and permanent resident, but just want to check the fact of his US birth, which also gives him US citizenship, does not make him ineligible for a policy. Many thanks, and if eligible, could you please provide quotes for three months insurance starting June 20 with a $100 excess(co-pay), and advise whether OK to purchase this from the UK and extend for a month in September if necessary? Can a US-based friend pay for the premium on our behalf if not, even though this would be for a close family friend rather than a relative?

Answer:

We would be glad to assist.

If your son is a U.S. citizen coming to temporarily visit in the U.S., one of the below plans could cover him.
