I am looking for some help and advice. My husband and I live in the USA (He is a citizen and I am waiting on my green card coming through). We are expecting our first child in a few weeks and my mum is hoping to come over in November to help out. My issue is trying to find medical insurance for her as she has a range of pre existing conditions the will need covered. The main one of these is that she has stage 4 kidney disease. She also has some slight issues with her heart but the main concern is her kidneys while she is here. Is there an insurance plan that would cover this? I look forward to getting your advice on this matter.

Unfortunately, there are no plans available which will provide coverage for a pre-existing condition. Short term health insurance plans for visitors are primarily designed to cover any new illness, injury or accident which occurs after the effective date of the policy.
