When a business is PCI-compliant, it means that that the business reviews and follows the guidelines set forth by the credit card companies to help ensure your credit card information is protected and your personal information is secure.
I understand that for acute onset of pre-existing illness, the insured person must seek treatment within 24 hours. I found detailed explanations in insubuy website for acute onset or pre-existing illness and sudden recurrence of previous illness. But I could not find much about coverage for acute illness. How soon a insured person seek medical treatment for acute illness? For example the insured person falls, and after 2-3 days he/she develops pain in hand. Goes to a physician and it is found that he/she has a fracture and gets plastered or surgery. Will this claim be covered? Another example- a person is having fever for 3 -4 days, now develops cough and condition gets worse on 5th day and goes to see a physician in office. Will this visit be covered? Does a person have to seek treatment within 24 hours for all acute condition for insurance coverage? My concern is sometimes ( and in many cases often), symptoms gradually gets worse and he/she seek treatment when condition gets concerning.
Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs.
The acute onset coverage is going to have the stipulation to have treatment within 24 hours. This benefit is specifically tailored to the pre-existing conditions.
The plans will cover the new accident and new illnesses that happen after the effective date of the policy and will not have that stipulation. As long as the new accident or illness happens after the effective date of the policy the plan will cove whatever is medically necessary in accordance with the certificate wording for the policy.
