In the past, as tourists, my wife and I have purchased your Atlas America insurance for visitors. Now, in about 10 days, we will arrive in the USA to claim our green cards, which we got through the lottery system. We originally planned to buy Atlas America for the period of two months (as I will later get a job plus benefits for both as soon as I sort out all the paperwork), but then I saw your International Major Medical Insurance for new immigrants. And therefore, I have a question in order not to purchase wrong insurance. Since we will enter the USA on October 30, but we will receive our social security numbers and green cards a few weeks later (3-4 weeks), do we qualify as new immigrants right from the beginning in your system? Or only after we receive SSN and Green Card? Therefore, do we purchase Atlas America, or International Major Medical Insurance?
