I am looking for the right travel insurance for my parents who will be visiting me soon. Both are under 60 years of age and are currently healthy. My father underwent an Angioplasty procedure in April 2015 and there has been no incident since then. I am looking for a medical insurance that will especially cover my father in case he has a condition related to his heart and needs to see a doctor immediately. Does this insurance also cover an issue during the journey to and from the US?
As a broker, we provide insurance from most of the major companies. None of the plans will pay for routine maintenance for the pre-ex. However, some plan has coverage for the acute onset of pre-existing conditions below age 70yrs.. More information on acute onset of pre-ex can be found here.
It will be determined by the claim dept. based on the attending physician notes whether it's acute onset of pre-ex or not.
