Question:

My parents who are both 67 years of age are visiting US for 2 months. I would like to get an insurance for both of them. They are both taking medication for diabetes and cholesterol. My father recently had angioplasty procedure and had to put 2 stents. My mom doesn't have any other issues apart from cholesterol and diabetes. Also they have high blood pressure too. Can you please suggest me an affordable insurance that i can take for them and what all are covered. Let me know if you need any other information to get me a quote.

Answer:

We would be glad to advise.

All plans on the market for visitors cover new illnesses and new injuries that occur or manifest after the effective date.  They do not cover things that are preventative, routine, or pre-existing.  Some plans do include Acute onset benefits of pre-existing conditions and I have attached the information link below to explain that benefit option.

If your parents are traveling on B2 visitor visas, you can run quotes here, with their other specific information to see what plans would be available to them and the cost of the plans as well.

We do recommend the Comprehensive plans, as the Fixed plans are limited benefit plans.
