I am looking for health insurance for my mother who will be visiting from India . She is 64 years old. In the past I had purchased her insurance thru InsuBuy and considering the same this time too. I have a quick question regarding the wellness visit which is part of some plans? What does it cover? it says routine exam? Does that mean a physical with some blood work as needed? Is it covered 100%? Can i make an appointment with any provider within network for the same?
You are referring to the Safe Travels plans that offer 1 wellness visit.

No, it will not cover 100%. It will reimbuse you up to $125.00 towards the visit cost. You must register for the appointment and the appointmentmust be within the first 21 days the policy is active.
The exam codes are pre-determined so you will not be able to choose which tests or labs are done. It will be a basic exam. It will also count as a claim, so be advised that will make you ineligible for any future refund if you end up needing to cancel the policy at a future date. You can go to any provider as it is a flat rate reimbursement.
