When a business is PCI-compliant, it means that that the business reviews and follows the guidelines set forth by the credit card companies to help ensure your credit card information is protected and your personal information is secure.
I'm from Russia, and I plan to visit the US for the first time. I want to visit my friends in Michigan, Texas, Florida and walk around New York city. For this trip I planned 54 days (together with an air flight from Moscow). I am 56 years old, I do not have chronic diseases. I do not engage in active, extreme sports and do not travel by car. Basically, I want to insure myself only from accidents: a snake's bite or insects, bone fractures, traffic accidents, tornadoes, etc. And I can not afford to pay for a doctor or hospital in the United States. It is very important that the insurance company does this. I hope that there will not be an insurance event :) For an insurance policy I would like to get the basic details: - covering 100 000 USD - Deductible - 0 - Co-payment (co-insurance) 100/0 - the availability of hospitals and doctors in these states who work in agreement with the insurance company. I like Atlas America's insurance plan. But, according to calculations on the site, it costs 346.68 dollars. Unfortunately, it's expensive for me. Is it possible to exclude some details from this plan to make it cheaper? Maybe you will be so kind and will advise me of some other insurance plan!
The Atlas America plan that you are considering would be a good plan option for you during your visit to the United States. With the requirements that you have such as a $100,000 policy maximum, deductible of $0 and 100% co-insurance this is going to be a likely standard for any insurance plan that you consider as far as pricing is concerned.
In order to lower your premium you will have to make adjustment in the policy maximum or deductible to make it more feasible. There are not any other plans with these requirements that would be more affordable.
You can consider a plan called Safe Travels USA Comprehensive that would provide you with a slightly lower premium but you would have a 80/20 co-insurance.
