I am trying to buy visitor health insurance for me, my wife and 2 kids. My younger kid was born in US hence US citizen but she lives in India now. When I enter her Citizenship as USA I am not able to buy the insurance. The error I get "The Citizenship country United States is not allowed for the plan. Please choose an alternate plan on this website or contact us for further assistance". Please suggest which insurance allows this.
We would be glad to assist. Because your child is a U.S. citizen, she would have to be on an individual policy, separate from you, your spouse, and other child. The 3 of you can choose any of the visitor plans (if you are traveling on B1/B2 visas) that it shows available through the quote to you based on your country of citizenship and destination state.
Your U.S. citizen daughter can be covered on one of our Patriot Plans. I have attached the link for the 2 Patriot plans below. These plans will cover a U.S. citizen visiting the U.S.
The only difference between the 2 Patriot plans is Patriot America Plus has an acute onset benefit for pre-existing conditions, and the Patriot America does not.
