Question:

Deductible Question I'm planning to buy insurance for my parents who would be visiting us for 3 months. I've been looking at your site for quite some time (weeks!! your efforts are really appreciated) and my questions is actually answered in one or the other forum posts though quite a bit old would still like to ask it just to be sure that the answers are still valid Father 59Yrs Atlas America 100,000 250500 Deductible Mother 53Yrs Patriot America 100,000 250500 Deductible 1. For both of these plans the deductible is per sickness policy period year 2. Where can I get the complete insurance document (rather than just marketing brochure) Thanks,

Answer:

1. Per year. Of course, if you buy the insurance for 3 months, it would be for once in that 3 months. If you renew the insurance for another 2 months, the deductible will not start over again. In that case, it would be become once for that entire 5 months. 2. The brochure is not just a marketing brochure. It has quite a lot of information in it. Anyway, you can look at the complete policy documents at /myaccount/PatriotAmerica0109.pdf and at /atlas-travel-insurance/ I hope that answers your questions. If you have any further questions, please feel free to post them here or contact us at any time.

this would be very helpful. #2 - Apologies, if it caused any unintentional offense. Idea was not to downplay role of the brochure, they are very informative. Even if you don't call it a marketing brochure, marketing brochure are essentially for the same purpose...provide all relevant details without bogging down the user with avoidable details. Some times a quick ctr+f on the full policy clears a lot of doubts, hence I requested the same. Thanks a lot for the info. Thanks,

Oh no, absolutely no problems and no offense at all. You have the right to know everything in advance about the insurance you are buying and we have the duty and obligation to provide all the information you ask for, as long as we have it. I know what exactly you are saying. I have seen the brochures of some Indian insurance companies and they are exactly that, marketing brochure. They lack critical details like over 55 years of age, they are only fixed coverage plans and not comprehensive coverage plans. We, as a broker, work for you and not for any particular insurance company. We have always been honest, transparent and upfront with all our customers. Therefore, we are glad to provide all the information we can and/or we have. Please feel free to ask us any other questions you may have.
