Question:

I am 22 y.o. from India. I'm traveling to Sanford, Florida, in the USA for my Commercial Pilot License training. The start date is 22nd July. I have searched many insurances policies but no policy covers trainee/student pilots for any medical situation that arises while practically flying the aircraft. All the insurance policies cover student pilots for normal hospitalization for sickness or injury but exclude injuries sustained while flying the aircraft. I am in search of the Insurance policy that covers normal hospitalization plus it also includes injuries sustained while flying the plane. I have checked your policies and no policy covers student pilots. Also, I've checked Insubuy's Adventure sports rider option but in that, it isn't clearly mentioned that it covers a person piloting an aircraft (student/trainee pilot). Could you please recommend me the best insurance plan in which it is clearly written and it doesn't exclude student/trainee pilots from any kind of medical assistance which is necessary and which arises while flying the aircraft for training purpose. I appreciate your time and patience. Thank you.

Answer:

Thank you for contacting Insubuy. Unfortunately, there are no travel medical plans available that will provide coverage while you are in flight training. A plan such as the Atlas America will provide coverage to you for any new illnesses, injuries or accidents which occurs after the effective date of the policy. You may purchase this plan to cover you medically while traveling to the U.S.

You can purchase Atlas America

For the flight training you may purchase a High Limit Accident plan. This would provide coverage in the event of death or dismemberment due to an accident. Please use the link provided below to view this policy.

You can purchase High Limit Accident
