Thanks for the prompt response I would like to know whether the absence of your presence in India would any way hamper the execution of the policy in case of emergency. I mean is it as good as taking an overseas travel policy from any India based insurance company.

We do worldwide business and there is absolutely not necessary to have a physical presence in a specific country. And that does not affect the service in any way. For example, please look at how it was handled in case of an emergency in Singapore where we don’t have any physical presence either /atlas-travel-insurance/. In fact, US based insurance works better than India based insurance. US based companies have been in insurance business a lot longer and have vast resources. To the best of my knowledge, Indian insurance companies do not even cover at the height where Kailash/Mansarovar are located. One more thing. Dear Sir: Many thanks for your valuable inputs. You have rightly pointed out that there are hardly any insurers for this Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Just last couple queries before I buy your travel Insurance 1) this Yatra begins from Delhi, than it goes to Uttarakhand then to Nepal and then to China ( Kailash Mansarovar) and then back the same route. So will this overseas insurance will cover only the duration in Nepal and China ? or the entire itinerary as I am an Indian who will travel to Delhi from Pune( Maharashtra) and commence the journey.? 2) Will the policy document once taken will be couriered to India? 3) Being a US based company in no ways hinders giving insurance to citizens of other countries who are not based in USA and availing your insurance for overseas travel to destinations not in USA ?

1. Insurance will cover outside India. That means, it will cover in Nepal and China but not within India. 2. You will receive everything by email and you can print it out. It is ePolicy.
