Travel Medical Insurance

Question:

My father (79 years old) had a massive brain stroke due to his atrial fibrillation and he is on anticoagulant medication and had pacemaker installed last year. His situation is fine. My mum has hypertension and her blood sugar is at the border to be diabetes. I would like to arrange their visit early next January from Taiwan to New Zealand for about 30 days. Can you advise what kind of travel medical insurance I can buy for them to cover their stay in New Zealand in case any thing happens? Both my parents are 79 and will not turn 80 during their first trip to New Zealand (during Jan to Feb 2019). I have not purchased the flight tickets yet because I am still searching their travel insurance option. The travel insurance I am looking is to cover their medical protection and emergency SOS coverage (not sure if the term I use is correct or not). I would like to know if you still provide coverage after they turn 80 the end of next year. Thank you very much for getting back to me so fast.

Answer:

Thanks for your reply. You may use the link provided below to view and compare the different plan options. One of the more popular plans in this section is the Atlas International. Please use the link provided below to view the plan details and purchase. Travel Medical Insurance plans are primarily designed to provide coverage for new illnesses, injuries or accidents which occur after the effective date of the policy. They will not provide coverage for pre-existing conditions, routine doctors' visits, or preventative treatments such as immunizations.
