The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)—which was developed by the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) created by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and JCB—is an extensive set of technical and operational standards that a company needs to follow to ensure that all companies that process, store, or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment.

When a business is PCI-compliant, it means that that the business reviews and follows the guidelines set forth by the credit card companies to help ensure your credit card information is protected and your personal information is secure.
Is there any of your insurance plan that meet my school requirement? 2017-18 Health Insurance Requirements Requests to waive may be granted with demonstration of alternative insurance that: 1. Is provided by a company licensed to do business in the United States, with a U.S. claims payment office and a U.S. telephone number. 2. Will be in force for the duration of the academic year, or until the student's program ends. 3. Provides coverage for health care where the student is attending classes (whether on a Tulane Campus or elsewhere). The plan must include: a. Unlimited annual and lifetime benefits (i.e. there is no policy maximum). b. Non-emergency/urgent care in the New Orleans area. c. Emergency and follow-up care in the New Orleans area. d. Coverage for club sports. (This requirement does not apply to NCAA competitive sports.) e. Pharmacy benefits. f. Mental health benefits. g. Coverage of pre-existing conditions without a waiting period (some examples may include: heart disease, renal failure, cancer) International students in F-1 status sponsored by Tulane University and all international students in J-1 status sponsored by Tulane University have additional minimum waiver requirements for acceptable alternative coverage. ADDITIONAL requirements for international students are as follows: i. No less than 90% coinsurance and has a maximum deductible of $250. ii. Comprehensive plan information is provided in English. iii. U.S. claims payment office and U.S. telephone number. iv. Direct payment to providers. v. Medical evacuation benefits of at least $50,000. vi. Repatriation benefits of at least $25,000.
Unfortunately, there is no plan that will meet these requirements that you can purchase outside of the university. The only way to meet the requirements is to purchase the plan that the university offers. If you have additional questions please feel free to contact our office.
