Question:

Hi, I would like to purchase the Atlas Exchange insurance for me and my family. I have J1 visa for short term research scholars and my dependents are J2 holders. Is this insurance appropriate if I am a researcher (not a student)? Does the Atlas Exchange insurance meet the US Department of State minimum J1 health insurance requirements [22 CFR 62.14]? Please note: I will be working in Pennsylvania from June 29 through September 30, 2017. I haven't arrived in USA yet. I am from Poland. My birth date is 09/29/1979. My spouse birth date is 11/16/1976. My three daughters birth dates are: 11/23/2016 11/14/2006 04/14/2004 I am interested in Atlas Exchange 12 months pre-ex option with: - policy maximum $200000-300000 per person - coinsurance 100/0 - deductible 0$ . According to the website total cost would be $981.36 for 94 days*, for 5 persons. (* If my two older daughters are going to stay for a shorter period than me (only until August 12) is it possible to purchase insurance separately for them, only for the time of their stay?) Is there a possibility that you could please send me a personalized quote for this policy? I will need confirmation for my visa sponsor, that the policy meets the requirements [22 CFR 62.14], which I mentioned above.

Answer:

The Atlas Exchange plan does meet the requirement set forth by the U.S. department of State for J visa holders.

It is definitely recommended that you purchase separate plans for your children if they will be visiting for a different duration than you.

You will be sent 2 separate emails for quotes one for you, your spouse and youngest child and one for your 2 older children for coverage with the requested parameters.

If you have any questions about the quote sent please do not hesitate to contact our office.
