I am looking for medical insurance for my wife. She is a Brazilian citizen living in Connecticut with a J-2 visa. I am a J-1 student with health insurance provided by my sponsoring university. A requirement for her visa is to have medical insurance with the following minimum coverage: 1. $100,000 per accident or illness 2. A deductible of no more than $500 per illness and a co-pay not to exceed 25% 3. Medical evacuation in the amount of $50,000. Evacuation refers to transporting an injured person for medical treatment. 4. Repatriation coverage for up to $25,000. Repatriation refers to transporting a body to the country of citizenship after death. I would like to know if she could buy insurance from InsuBuy as a Brazilian Citizen who spends about 10 months per year in the US with a J-2 visa. Ideally, we would like to renew the insurance for the next 5 years. Do you recommend any particular plan for our needs? Lastly, part of the legal requirement for the corporation underwriting is to have the minimum rating requirement: "A.M. Best rating of "A" or above, an Insurance Solvency International, Ltd. (ISI) rating of "A-i" or above, a Standard and Poor's Claims-paying Ability rating of "A" or above, a Weiss Research, Inc. rating of "B+" or above". Can you confirm that the corporation which underwrites the insurance fulfills such requirements or point to a source where I could check this information?
