Question:

Hi we are looking to purchase visitors insurance. My mother has rheumatic heart disease and about four years back she underwent mechanical valve replacement. She also has Sjogren's syndrome. What kind of coverage/premium are we looking at?

Answer:

The only plan we have for people visiting on a B2 visitor visa that can provide some pre-existing

condition coverage if the proposed insured is fit to travel and not specifically coming to the U.S.

for medical treatment is the Visitors Protect plan.

It can provide either a $20,000 or $25,000 benefit depending on the proposed insureds age for pre-existing

conditions built into the plan. That benefit has it's own $1500 deductible.

However, there is a minimum 90 day purchase for that plan. So even if you entered in the 3 weeks of dates, it would charge

you the premium for the 90 day minimum and the plan is not extendable so you would need to purchase for the full

duration of their stay at the time of purchase.
