Patriot Platinum America questions Hi, I have just purchased your Patriot Platinum America Travel medical insurance and wonder if you could clarify the following info for me? - What are classified as "In the PPO Network" and "Out of PPO Network"? - Could you please provide me with a list or website to check PPO Network? - What is "International Provider Access (IPA)"? - Do you have a website or list for the IPA providers or facilities? - What is "Independent Preferred Provider Organization"? - Do you have a website or list for a list of providers or facilities? - How does your Global Concierge and Assistance Services work? Do you have a website for this? - I am in the U.S. from Nov 13 to Nov 26. If medical situation occurs and I am admitted to a U.S. hospital, say, from Nov 24 to Dec 10, would I be covered from Nov 27 through Dec 10, or the policy only pays up to Nov 26? Thanks very much for your help and I look forward to hearing from you soon. Best,

Answer:

Hello, Thank you purchasing Patriot Platinum America insurance. We appreciate your business. PPO stands for Preferred Provider Organization. That is a network of providers (doctors, hospitals etc.) that participates in the insurance. If you use one of those providers in the list, that is in PPO network. Otherwise, it is out of PPO network. You can find the PPO network list by clicking ‘Search Providers’ at /international-medical-ppo-network/ International Provider Access (IPA) is basically international PPO, outside the US. That link is also at /international-medical-ppo-network/ For Global Concierge and Assistance Services, you will have to call the phone number given on your insurance card. As long as it is a covered expense and if the medical condition occurs from Nov 13 to Nov 26, in your example, you will be covered up to Dec 10. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
