Parents visiting from Viet Nam Hi, I'm looking to buying insurance for my parents who will be traveling from Vietnam to US in March. I'm currently interested in Atlas Medical Insurance. However, there is a notice for California which makes me a little concern. Does it really apply since my parents are not California residents and if there are dispute, are they protected? Also, I saw the company has done many transactions with Indian. Since my parents coming from Vietnam, can they still buy and receive the same benefit? Please let me know as soon as possible. Thank.

Therefore, you can definitely purchase it for your visiting parents. Your parents are not residents of CA. Therefore, the notice you saw is not really applicable to them. Please read /travel-and-student-insurance-california-notice/ for more information. They are definitely protected for eligible expenses as per terms and conditions of the insurance. Hi, I just purchased Atlas plan for my parents. Upon printing ID card, it says that my parents are required to pre-certify all hospitalizations and surgeries. So if my parents have emergency that need to go to the hospital, we have to ask for permission first? Please clarify that for me? Also, although I purchased my parents as the same time, they will separately receive the same benefit right? Thank you,
1. In case of an emergency, you have to call within 48 hours. Read /visitors-insurance-precertification-requirements/ 2. All benefits are person. Deductible is per person too. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Could you please let me know the cancellation policy for the insurance. If there are an emergency that my parents can not come to the U.S., do I get refunded ?
