Insurance delivery question I will be traveling to the US soon, for a stay of 2 weeks and I am interested in purchasing a visitor's medical insurance. My trip is in two weeks and I would like to know if I should expect any physical documents from you and whether there is enough time for them to arrive at my current location, Grenoble, France.
Thank you for your interest in purchasing insurance through us. It depends on what plan you purchase if any documents are sent through the mail. All plans provide policy documents electronically. If you need additional assistance please feel free to contact our office.
I'm interested in the 100$ deductibles, 200,000$ or 500,000$, AD&D, Liability package. I progressed the process and saw that I can request online fulfillment and I can print the documents myself. Just one clarification; the insurance covers emergency medical expenses after deductibles, but not preexisting conditions, is that correct?
That is correct. All plans on the market for visitors to the U.S. exclude or do not cover pre-existing conditions. Some of the plans come with what they will call limited pre-existing coverage or the Acute on-set benefit. This is a benefit that is included with some of the plans and states that even though the plan does not cover pre-existing conditions, if someone age 69 or younger has a sudden and unexpected life threatening emergency that has to be treated immediately or within 24 hours due to a pre-existing condition, it may be covered based on the doctor’s report at the time of the claim. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
