Buying Comprehensive plan for my elderly parents I am planning to buy comprehensive medical insurance policy for my parents scheduled to visit in July this year and will stay for two and half months in USA. My father is aged 77 years and my mother is aged 67 years. Can you suggest a suitable plan for a coverage up to $100,000 for each? Also both of them are physically fit but take medications for blood pressure and blood sugar. Will this be considered as pre-existing medical condition? I would like to understand how such situations are dealt if they suffer from any aggravated condition due to such ailments, I would appreciate a quick response,

Insurance will not pay for any routine dr. visit for the existing conditions. However Atlas America provides acute onset of pre-ex up to age 69 yrs while Safe Travels USA Comprehensive plan provides coverage for acute onset of pre-existing conditions up to age 89 yrs but it has exclusion for cardiac disease and conditions.
