I am considering to buy an insurance for a relative visiting me in US. For the insurance "Atlas America", please help me to understand whether the below situation be covered. For example, he may be admitted to hospital due to corona virus-19, and then several days later, some pre-exisiting condition such as heart disease recurs. Will this kind of recurrence of pre-existing condition be covered? Will the treatment for corona virus-19 be covered?

The Atlas America plan does not exclude coverage for COVID-19 and can be coverage as any other payable expense provided it manifest after the effective date of the policy. This is a rapidly evolving situation. Make sure to confirm the most current information before making any decisions.
If contracting COVID-19 exacerbates the pre-existing condition it would have to be determined at the time of the claim if it would be considered payable under the acute onset benefit as the plans are not designed to cover pre-existing conditions.
