Question:

Visitor medical insurance-Need suggestion My other is visiting US on Oct 31. Last year I purchased with your sugggestion. Now when I searched in / I am getting one fixed coverage plan only. What about comprehensive plans. Is patriot america plan still availble. Last time I bought that. Please reply at the earliest.

Answer:

All the plans are still available, including comprehensive coverage plans and Patriot America. If you see only one plan, most likely you chose the policy maximum, $25,000 or $75,000. If you choose $50,000 or $100,000 or something like that, you will see many more plans. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us at any time.

My parent are visiting USA for 3-4 months. My father is 72yrs and mother is 65yrs.I am really confused seeing too many options of the insurances. I just want a comprehensive coverage with pre existing cover.Don't want to take any risk. I like the Atlas America plan but not sure that it is perfect to buy. Need your advice. Please reply at earliest.

Thank you for your interest in purchasing visitors insurance for your parents. Atlas America is an excellent visitors insurance plan and currently the most popular one. Please note that no visitors insurance plan from any company covers pre-existing conditions for visitors to the U.S. Atlas America covers up to $15,000 in acute onset of pre-existing conditions for the persons below the age of 70 years and that is the best option available so far. You can confidently purchase it online at /atlasamerica-insurance/ I hope that answers your questions. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us at any time or post them here.

Thanks for your advice. one more question. My father is 72yrs. So Atlas America won't cover his pre existing problems. Is there any other option for comprehensive insurance for him. If there is a cheaper comprehensive insurance than Atlas America then why should i go for this??Just need a good understanding. Hope u understand my question.I also want you to suggest some other options so that i can compare . This is regarding my father's insurance. For my mom, I will definitely buy Atlas America.

There is no comprehensive plan available currently in the market that would cover any form of pre-existing conditions (not even acute onset of pre-existing conditions) for the person age 70 years and above. Therefore, there is no other alternative. You can certainly go for the cheapest comprehensive plan available. We have all major plans available in the U.S. market and they are listed at https://www.insubuy.com Of course, each one of them is a little different from others. Price is not the only factor to look at. Several factors to look for is the deductible, renewability, refund policy, coinsurance, out of pocket maximum, network providers, any additional restrictions in benefits and so on. E.g., if some plan has 90% coinsurance, while other plan has 80% coinsurance, obviously, 90% coinsurance is better. If two plans have 80% coinsurance, but one plan says 80%/20% coinsurance for first $5,000 and the other one says 80%/20% coinsurance for first $10,000, obviously the earlier one is better because coinsurance max out of pocket would be $1,000 vs $2,000 in the later. Therefore, I suggest that you visit https://www.insubuy.com and enter your criteria. You will see all different plans and compare them side by side. You will see major differences side by side. Of course, one benefit may be more important to you than others. That way, you can make the most informed decision. I hope that answers your questions.
