Question:

My mother is traveling to USA from India and she is 68 years of age, I am looking for a medical insurance for her. I have gone through a medical plan from Atlas America (Comprehensive plan). I have following questions: 1: What is the difference if I buy from your website or if I buy directly from Atlas America? If I buy from your site do I need to contact you first for anything ? 2: As Atlas America has First Health PPO network, can I go to any urgent care in my area which is not part of First Health PPO and later I can get it reimbursed through Atlas ? or it's not allowed/recommended ? 3: If I visit an hospital with First Health PPO network, I just need to show the insurance card ? (I understand I need to pay the deductible) 4: Along with Insurance card for hospital/doctor, should I get a different card for medicines like the Rx cards?

Answer:

Thank you for contacting Insubuy for your insurance needs.

1: What is the difference if I buy from your website or if I buy directly from Atlas America? If I buy from your site do I need to contact you first for anything ?

Atlas America is a plan that is administered by a company called Tokio Marine HCCMIS, this company does not sale directly and you will be placed with an agent anywhere in the world. There are many benefits in purchasing from Insubuy, one of those reason is going to be our superior customer service and longer working hours.

2: As Atlas America has First Health PPO network, can I go to any urgent care in my area which is not part of First Health PPO and later I can get it reimbursed through Atlas ? or it's not allowed/recommended ?

You are free to go to any provider that you choose, the difference will be in how much the plan would cover. For out of network providers you will pay out of pocket and submit reimbursement for the eligible expenses.

3: If I visit an hospital with First Health PPO network, I just need to show the insurance card ? (I understand I need to pay the deductible)

You will need to show your ID card and the hospital will call to verify your benefits and you would be responsible for you deductible at that point.

4: Along with Insurance card for hospital/doctor, should I get a different card for medicines like the Rx cards?

There is not a separate card for prescriptions medication as all medications are paid for out of pocket by the insured. You will submit a reimbursement for the medications.
