Insurance options for visitors to USA I am interested in buying the travel insurance as per the quote. This is for 6 months , i am currently in India and unable to call and talk. The amount of $2000+ is slightly out of budget right now. Though i understand the best coverage from this will help me and be stress free. To add , the applicants are my parents and they are healthy. I don't even think we will use the insurance. Is there a way i can get some discount on the same

It is meant to cover only unforeseen and new medical conditions, injuries or accidents. Insurance is anyway not meant for people who are already sick. Few options: Buy same Atlas America plan with higher deductible. Buy Atlas Essential America /atlas-essential-america-insurance/ which has 75% - 25% coinsurance. You can also choose higher deductible in this plan. Buy fixed coverage plan such as /visitor-secure-insurance/ It has very limited coverage. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
