Insurance coverage questions Hello Is this insurance only for doctor visits? Will this also cover the expenses if this insurer is admitted in the hospital?
This is a short term insurance plan. Insurance will pay for whatever treatment medically necessary as long as it’s not preventive care and pre-existing conditions. However some plan has coverage for acute onset of pre-ex. Hello Can you explain what Pre-notification Penalty is please?
Which insurance plan are you planning to purchase? Pre-certification you need only for major hospitalization, surgery, CT Scan or MRI. For normal dr. visit you don’t need pre-certification. Pre-certification means you informing insurance company or claim dept. for the procedure you are going for. Under Patriot America plan if you don’t do pre-certification benefits will reduce 50% while in Atlas America plan there is no pre-certification requirements.
