my mother has persistent cough for 2 weeks now. We bought travelers insurance for her before she came. I would like to get her checked out by a doctor. What is the procedure to get this done?
The procedure is similar to using any insurance. You will go to the provider you are wishing to visit and present them with the ID card. You can verify if they will set up direct billing with the insurance company and if they are unable to, you will pay our of pocket and file a claim for reimbursement for eligible expenses. Keep in mind the plans are designed to offer coverage for new illnesses and injuries that are contracted after the effective date and will exclude the coverage for pre-existing conditions, preventative and routine care.
