Hi I'm British (based in the UK) and so is my father. I'd like my father to visit Florida with me in April and was considering taking out a visitors health insurance policy with you to cover his 11 day visit. My father does have a pre-existing condition. He has had 2 heart attacks (the last was about 6 years ago) and suffers from angina. He takes medication to control this condition, though he does visit the gym every day and lost a lot of weight following his heart attacks.
There is no short term insurance for an international visitor which covers routine dr. visit, checkup, preventive care, medicine or blood test etc. for the existing conditions. However, some plans cover acute onset of pre-existing conditions below age 70.
