Query regarding atlas america insurance Dear Sir/madam I am Indian citizen planning for visiting USA for 1 month for travel purpose on B1/B2 visa with my spouse and two children. I am planning to visit New York state. There is some confusion for NY state in respect to atlas america. Will it work for me in NY state? I am planning to buy 0 deductible and $100000 cover. Kindly suggest.

The rule is that insured person should not by physically located in NY at the time of application. You are located in IN now so you can purchase before you arrive to NY state. Hello, The Atlas America Plan is renewable as long as it is renewed prior to the expiration date of the policy. There is a $5 renewal fee in addition to the premium upon renewing the plan.
Is renewal from NY allowed?
Hello, Yes you can renew the policy from New York. It would not be a new plan as long as you are renewing.
