Family Non-U.S. citizens except 1 child- U.S. passport holder/citizen- need insurance Hello, I and my family are resident in India. We plan to travel to US next week. I, my wife and 2 daughters (9 years and 14 years) need to get travel medical insurance. One of my daughters is a US passport holder, but lives with us in India. The insurance from India does not cover US travel for US citizens. But I see some options on insubuy website. Can you suggest the best option for us? Regards, c
Hello, We do have plans that will cover U.S. citizens coming to the U.S. to visit who live abroad and of course plans to cover non U.S. citizens as well. You, your spouse and non- U.S. citizen daughter would be on one plan together and your U.S. citizen child would need to be on a separate plan of their own. On our website if you are on the visitors to the U.S. screen and are going to run a quote, the first question asked if the person or people to be insured are U.S. citizens or non- U.S. citizens. Once that is stated, along with the other information required for the quote and you search and compare, it will pull up the plans that will work for your specific citizenship. So, you would run 1 quote for the 3 of you and a separate quote for the child who is a U.S. citizen.
