Hi I am interested in buying visitor health cover and have a couple of questions . I am a resident of New Zealand but travel on a British passport, will this cause any problems? Amount of cover required ? I am 62 and have a pre existing heart condition and have no real idea of medical costs in the U.S.A what would be an adequate cover ( we are visiting Hawaii for 12 days) Thanks
Thank you for contacting Insubuy. We are a broker and have all of the major plans on the market. These plans are designed to cover you anywhere outside of your home country (New Zealand). There are two categories of short term health insurance plans for a visitor to the U.S. You may purchase either a fixed or comprehensive coverage plan. The fixed plan options will be less expense, and pay a fixed dollar amount as per the schedule of benefits. The comprehensive plan options will pay a percentage of the cost after the selected deductible. Either plan option will cover any new illness, injury or accident which occurs after the effective date of the policy. The plans will not cover a pre-existing condition, immunizations, routine doctors' visits, or medications in relation to a pre-existing condition.
